Where the Khumbu Touches the Sky
Nestled in the heart of Nepal’s legendary Khumbu region, Island Peak (Imja Tse, 6,189 m) is one of the world’s most iconic trekking peaks. Surrounded by the towering giants of the Himalayas—including Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Makalu—this expedition offers the perfect introduction to technical alpine mountaineering.
The journey follows the classic Everest Base Camp trail through vibrant Sherpa villages, ancient Buddhist monasteries, glacial valleys, and high mountain passes before leaving the busy trekking route for the remote Imja Valley. As the expedition progresses, every step brings you deeper into the world of high-altitude climbing.
Island Peak is more than a summit—it is a complete Himalayan expedition. Careful acclimatization, expert instruction, glacier travel, fixed rope climbing, and a thrilling summit ridge combine to create one of the finest alpine adventures in the Himalayas.
